Our Plano, TX client is seeking a temp to possible hire experienced Staff Accountant. 

 

The Staff Accountant is responsible for producing detailed monthly financial statements for 20-30 clients per week. This position requires a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, with heavy general ledger experience. They are looking for a positive team player with excellent communication skills, who is able to work under pressure to meet firm deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. The Accountant:

This position will provide technical engineering support to production operations to reduce manufacturing costs and maximize throughput and efficiency of production equipment.
 
DUTIES
        
  • Works with manufacturing engineers to evaluate existing manufacturing equipment and processes to identify, justify, and implement improvements and enhancements.
            
  • Works with Maintenance Department to improve reliability and uptime of machinery and equipment.
            
  • Assists with design and development of production processes and manufacturing automation to support new products and requirements.
            
  • Provides support for shop floor improvement projects, including 5S, Kaizen, and capital projects.
            
  • Interfaces with equipment manufacturers and vendors to identify solutions, solicit quotations, and coordinate projects.
            
  • Works with manufacturing engineers, manufacturing supervisors, maintenance staff, and production personnel to promote and support lean initiatives.
            
  • Provides support for maintaining regulatory and environmental compliance of manufacturing processes.
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
        
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
            
  • At least five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment.
            
  • Knowledge and experience with production machinery and equipment for welding, machining, and fabricating.  
            
  • Knowledge and experience with PLC controls systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
            
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Excel computer applications.
